L-2 Flying Jacket BLACKBIRD
The
L-2 was introduced by U.S. Army Air Force in May 1945 and produced in
a nylon fabric that the company DuPont developed in 1934.
The
Blackbird features a leather tab on the front left chest for
attaching an oxygen mask and is 100% cotton lined for comfort and
warmth.
This jacket was used in light-zone climates between 42 and 65
degrees fahrenheit.
